Gig Blog: DEVILCAKE, SIN NOMBRE, DEPRECATOR live at Circus, August 2, 2013

DEVILCAKE
SIN NOMBRE
DEPRECATOR
CIRCUS COLUMBUS
August 2, 2013

Deprecator was first, they were an insanely great metal band that made me wish we could run around in a little mosh pit, but no one does those anymore, do they? Deprecator won over the crowd with their perfect cover of "Raining Blood", and even won over the bartenders. Sin Nombre went next, their detuned doom riff sludge mayhem also winning over the crowd from the word go.

It was already a long night of rock when we took the stage after midnight.

We almost played "ICBINS" but swapped it for "Donuts" instead, after that one dude and his friend went to all the trouble to bring bags of donuts to the show! Being pelted in the eye with a mini donut was the least I could do.

What did we play? We freeballed the setlist, so who knows...

Some combination of
the new doom epic version of SALAD BAR MAN
WIENERMOBILE
MARSHMALLOW
PIE, HAIR PIE
I WANT A BIG MAC
the "retrofit" version of HANDS OFF MY OREOS
CEREAL AND BEER
CHICKEN NUGGETS OF SIN
DONUTS
RED POP
SOFT BATCH MAMA
GUACAMOLE, DAMN IT maybe?
FRIBBLE

Thanks again to everyone, we'd love to play there again some day.
